DISCOVERING A GOLDEN TREASURE CHEST

Do you want to see a stupa that soars towards the heavens? Would you like to see where the royal family worshipped? Or would you like to just float by on a boat ride past beautiful orchards and see juicy, delectable fruits? Thailand invites you to explore the province of Nakhon Pathom as one of the central provinces that houses the legendary Phra Pathom Chedi. As a religious landmark that saw the rise of Buddhism in Thailand, Nakhom Pathom showcases its religious background with its stunning Phra Pathom Chedi (Stupa) and takes the taste buds on a delicious travel with its variety of fruit and amazing dishes. Excitehotels.com offers customized care as an online hotel reservation portal and takes its guests to the most unique accommodations as destinations to the heart.

As the sun rises over the land of smiles, Thailand greets her visitors with history, attractions and exciting places to see with its natural beauty and mysticism. Guests staying in lavish accommodations can take advantage of a golden day to see a golden sight. Tourists will be excited to see Phra Pathom Chedi that has the accolade of being the highest stupa in the world and rises to a height of 127 meters or 417 feet. With its name meaning ‘Holy Chedi (Stupa) of the beginning’, the Stupa dates back to the 4th century. As an interesting fact, the Stupa was transformed with a Khmer, an age-old Cambodian style prang that was overgrown with jungle foliage. King Mongkut visited the ruin many times during the period that he was a monk and after his coronation, he commissioned a new Chedi to be built at the same site. The construction took 17 years to complete and was finished in 1870 and the population of the neighboring Nakhon Chai Si was moved to a newly designed town around the Holy Chedi. As the most holy amongst all the Buddhist temples, the dome of the Phra Pathom Chedi is covered with shining golden brown glazed tiles and looks like pure gold in the sunlight. Guests staying in luxurious accommodations would like to see the four Viharns or halls with beautifully painted Buddha images in different postures. Excitehotels.com takes immense pleasure in offering the essence of care and a delightful sojourn in the most exotic accommodations.

SHOWCASING AN ANCIENT CULTURE

Groups and lovers of ancient cultures will be thrilled to wander around the outer pavilion of the Chedi where important trees connected to the life of Buddha grow. The inner side displays small belfries from where sweet chimes ring with stone images in front of the red lacquer moon-gate doors that lead to the gallery. Stone figures representing animals and the important ‘Wheels of Law’ indicate religious emblems and were found close by. Historians and lovers of history would love to browse through the Museum at Rongdharm where exhibits display relics, stone carvings and other priceless objets d’art that had been found in the jungle and around Nakhon Pathom. Guests staying in beautiful accommodations can take off to see the innumerable places of interest in the Nakhon Pathom area like the Misiem Yip Intsoi Arts Garden that showcases masterpieces of arts and the Don Whai Market behind the Don Whai temple that dates back to the King Rama VI period. Families and tourists will enjoy the Samphran Elephant Ground & Zoo with daily elephant shows, crocodile wrestling shows, magic shows, elephant rides and elephant musical shows. Nature lovers can admire the Rose Garden with stunning floral displays, traditional Thai-style houses, Thai cultural shows that begin in the afternoon with the surrounding area evolving with a golf course and various accommodations. Excitehotels.com takes their guests through a lovingly crafted website to give them the best prices, attractive discounts and great deals on hotel accommodations with the added value of customized care, courtesy and warm hospitality.

With exciting sight seeing ahead of them, visitors staying in spacious accommodations can look forward to a refreshing boat ride that would take them along the Klong canal where they would discover fruit farmers tending to orchards bearing pomelo, sweet coconut, guava and orchid farms. Tourists can relax on a boat ride down the Cheen River and absorb the natural ambience or they can travel down the Nakhon Chaisi River and see ornamental plant gardens, pomelo orchards and orchid farms. The more adventurous tourists can enjoy thrilling water sports on Olan Lake with 5-pole cable ski and water skiing. Guests can take a break and indulge in a refreshing sojourn and taste sweet pomelo, drink coconut juice and enjoy Khao Lam that is sticky rice blended with coconut milk and grilled in a bamboo trunk.
