A: We cannot guarantee that your request will be taken care of 100%. Hotels will try their best to satisfy your special request, but it is subject to their viability at the point of your check in.

Q. Can I fax my credit card details for hotels reservation? I don’t want to send my credit card details over the internet for booking hotels.
A: Yes, you can fax us your credit card details within 6 hours after requesting hotel bookings over our website for us to follow up with your booking.

Q. Can I make a last minute bookings for today or tomorrow? What are the problems we might face in doing so?
A: We will try our best to get confirmation from the hotels for your last minute hotel stay but we may get delayed getting confirmation from the hotel. Some of the delaying factors in getting response from the hotels for last minute bookings are: Hotel reservation department will not be working after office hours, on weekends and their local holidays. However, we will try our level best to get you the confirmation, but will not guarantee your request.

Q.I will be arriving past midnight. Should I key in the date of my check in as the date before midnight or the date after midnight?
A: Early check in and late check out are subject to the availability of the room and cannot be confirmed until the day of check in or check out. We can advise the hotel of your request and they will try their best to accommodate your needs. If you plan to arrive more than 6 hours prior to the hotel's check-in time and want to guarantee that you would be able to check into your room upon arrival, you would need to book the night prior to the date of arrival.
(Example: If the check-in time for a hotel is 2 PM and you are planning to arrive at 4 AM on February 10, you would need to book your room for February 9 and February 10 as the hotels are not able to organize check in at such early hours.)

Q. All the published hotel rates are in local currency of the hotels, can you quote in other currencies?
A: The currency which is displayed are determined by the hotels, generally local currency of the hotel’s destination or USD are published in our website, however many of the hotels accept international currency (mainly USD, EURO, YEN) as an alternative to local currency for the hotel stay. The final settlement will be upon check out.

Q. What is Child Reservation Policy?
A: Most hotels allow children less than 12 years of age to stay free with their parents using the existing bedding without breakfast. If extra beds are needed, they will treat your child as adult and you will have to book at triple occupancy rate.

A: FB (Full-Board) - Accommodation inclusive of breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Q. Can you explain about the Room types & Occupancy categories?
A: Room types and occupancy categories are as follows:
Single Room - Room has 1 single bed and it is meant for 1 adult only.
Twin Room - Room has 2 single beds or 1 large Queen or 1 King sized meant for 2 adults. A third person will require an extra bed.
Triple Room- Room has either 3 single beds, or 1 large Queen or King sized bed with 1 single bed meant for 3 adults.

Q. What is the difference between Standard room, Superior room and Deluxe room types?
A: The main difference is determined by the room size. A typical Standard Room has a smaller floor area compared to a Superior or a Deluxe Room. These room categories vary from one hotel to another.
Please note that some hotels can only accommodate requests for additional beds in their Superior and Deluxe Rooms.

Q. What is an E-Confirmation Slip?
A: Upon receiving confirmation from the hotel, we will send you Excitehotels.com E-Confirmation Slip through email. You will have to take a printout of this confirmation slip detailing your booking details and produce it to the hotel reception upon check in.
Excitehotels.com E-Confirmation Slips will have the following:
1) E-Confirmation Number
2) The Hotels’ details
3) The Room type, Room rates
4) The Hotels Amendment, Cancellation, No Show Policy

Q. Why do you need my credit card information?
A: Excitehotels.com do not charge any amount, extra charges, handling fees, etc., to the guest credit cards, we will only forward the guests’ credit card details to the hotel concerned to facilitate guests’ reservation request as a room booking guarantee. The hotels require the guests’ credit card details to confirm and hold the booked room till the guests arrives. The hotels will only charge the credit cards upon check in of the guest or making final settlement to the hotels upon check out.

Q. When should I make the payment to the hotel?
A:Most hotels collect payment from the guests by cash or credit card upon check in or check out, it varies from hotel to hotel, (Please check the individual hotel Terms & Conditions). Some hotels may require prepayment during peak-periods (Trade Fair, International Conventions, Sports Events, etc.), when most of the hotels are fully booked at the place of your intended destination.

A: Most of the star hotels’ room rates are inclusive of breakfast while some do not offer the same. If the room rates are inclusive of breakfast, we will publish them in the individual hotel’s page along with their other facilities.

Q. What are Amendment and Cancellation Policies?
A: Amendment Policies differ from hotel to hotel while most hotels allow you an amendment of 5 days in advance to facilitate your request while others do not allow any amendments to be made. During peak periods, some hotels do not allow amendments to be made. The Amendment Policy will be stated in the individual hotel’s Terms & Conditions pages for your information. Some common types of amendments are stated below. 1. Date of Arrival (Subject to room availability)
2. Duration of Stay (Subject to room availability)
3. Room Types (Subject to availability)
Note: Amendment to change to another hotel will be considered on cancellation of the present booking. The guests should abide by the cancellation policy of the present booked hotel.
Cancellation Policies differ from hotel to hotel and also differ from peak season to non-peak season. Most hotels allow guests to cancel their booking 3 days in advance without any charges incurred by the guests during the off peak period while other hotels want the guests to notify them at least 1 month earlier. During peak periods (Trade Fair, Convention, etc.), most hotels do not allow the guests to cancel any booking. Normally most hotels charge 1 night room rental as late cancellation fees during non-peak periods and 100% of the guests’ entire stay during peak periods. The cancellation policy will be stated in the individual hotel’s Terms & Conditions pages for your information.

Q. What is No-Show and what will the hotel do if such a case arises?
A:If guests fail to arrive at the hotel on the reservation date for check in without cancelling their booking at the hotels, most hotels will charge 1 night room rental to every room booked to the guests’ credit card as No-Show penalty fees. During peak periods/International sporting events, Conventions, etc., some hotels will charge 100% of the guests’ entire stay as No-Show penalty fees.
